Scleroderma Updated

April 15th, 2009 by Diane

I was privileged to be invited to a scleroderma support group as a speaker. At that event I was able to work with perhaps as many as ten individuals with a variety of active types of scleroderma. Some were in pain with little or no no relief from their prescribed pain meds, some had received deep tissue scar work, and some had extensive subcutaneous fat loss in the affected area.  The work I’ve been using with my one scleroderma client achieved remarkably rapid results. Pain was relieved in minutes, unresponsive scar tissue softened and changed to a healthier color, and range of motion increased.  The only difference that I can identify between my client and these individuals that might explain why these individuals responded more quickly is that my client’s case is diagnosed as inactive.
